He Government of Peru has announced that it will begin to make the payment of Pension 65 to more than 122,000 new beneficiaries as of February 2024. This action is part of the Plan to Close Social Gapswith the aim of improving the integrated information system and closing the social gap this year.

“No older adult in a situation of extreme poverty will be outside the attention of the State. In 12 years, the program has never experienced growth of such volume, a challenge in the management of information that each of you has and that will allow us to optimally build the bimonthly relationship of users,” said the executive director of the program, Julio Mendigure Fernández, during an event about the program.

Pension 65: since when will more beneficiaries be included?

As of February 18, 2024, as part of the Plan to Close Social Gaps, the Peruvian Government will begin to pay Pension 65 to more than 122,000 new beneficiaries, who will receive for the first time a payment of 300 soles every two months and will be automatically enrolled in the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS) to ensure free access to quality medical care.

Payments will be made through events called “pagatones”, organized by the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis), which will take place in branches of the Banco de la Nación throughout the country, with the aim of serving more of 21,200 older adults.

Who will be included in the new register of Pensión 65 beneficiaries?

The older adults who are in this registry are those who are classified as extreme poverty. That is why, to make the delivery of the financial subsidy effective, Pensión 65 prepares the bimonthly list of users (RBU), which is compared with 17 entities such as the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec), the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance (SBS), the National Computer System of Deaths (Sinadef).

Also with the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE), the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Ministry of the Interior (Mininter), the Ministry of Defense (Mindef), the Ministry of Health (Minsa), the Comprehensive Health Insurance ( SIS), Sunat, EsSalud, Pension Normalization Office (ONP), Police Military Pension Fund, Fisherman’s Social Security and Benefits Fund, Conadis and the Contigo program.

  2. Enter your DNI number and the 4 digits that appear below.
  3. Click the ‘search’ button.
  4. Ready! This way you can verify if you are a beneficiary this year 2024.

Pension 65: What are the requirements to join?

  1. Count on ID physical.
  2. Be 65 years of age or older.
  3. Not receive pension from the public or private sector, including benefits through EsSalud.
  4. Fill out form 1000, which is an affidavit.
  5. Be registered in the General Household Register with socioeconomic classification of extreme poverty, according to the evaluation of the Household Targeting System (Sisfoh).
