The Nation Bank announced that they will make loans to their clients who are interested in buy land. This, with the aim of contributing to the economic reactivation and closing the housing gap.

Who could access the loan from the Banco de la Nación for the purchase of land?

According to what was stated by the spokesperson for the Banco de la Nación, these loans would be directed to civil servants and public servants that can have an initial. In addition, the land that you are interested in acquiring must be registered with the National Superintendency of Public Registries (Sunarp) to verify its formality.

Although no specific interest rate was discussed, Arias recalled that currently the Banco de la Nación offers mortgage loans that vary between 8.21% and 9.72%, while to improve or expand one’s own home the loan can be have an interest of 8.49% to 8.70%.

“The purchase of a home, through a mortgage loan, is the most important investment that a citizen makes in their life,” he stated.

What are the requirements to access a mortgage loan at Banco de la Nación?

  • Possess an active MultiRed visa debit card.
  • Present original ID of the owner and the spouse.
  • Deliver the last two payment slips of the holder and the last six of the spouse, both originals and copies, or printouts in the case of virtual slips.
  • Provide the last utility bill (water, electricity or landline), original and copy.
  • Provide proof of appointment (for active workers) or termination resolution (for pensioners) of the owner or spouse, in original and copy.
  • Present a certified copy of the marriage certificate issued by the municipality.
  • Show documents that justify the monthly installments of current credits in other financial entities, in original and copy.
  • Provide documentation of other income if reported for credit evaluation, in order to increase borrowing and repayment capacity.
  • The home must be well finished and appear in Public Records.
  • Present the Real Estate Registration Certificate (CRI) issued by Sunarp, no older than 30 days. In the provinces, a literal copy of the property issued by Sunarp is also required.
  • Provide the Affidavit of Self-Value, Urban Property (PU) and Municipal Summary Sheet (HR), either original or copy, legalized by a notary public.
  • Deliver proof of payment of property tax for the current year, original or copy, legalized by a notary public.
