Ismael Sutta, Vice Minister of Transportation, pointed out that through the National Plan for Logistics Services and Infrastructure to 2032 will reduce by more than S/187,000 million in the next 10 years.
“This plan will optimize and diversify the cargo transportation system and institutionalize logistics in Peru,” he commented.
This project will make it possible to plan, operate and integrate road infrastructure with ports, airports, railways and waterways. 41 logistics corridors have been identified to interconnect the road system.
Peru has 30,000 kilometers of the National Road Network: 20,000 km are paved, either with asphalt or economical pavement and 8,000 km are not. 2,000 km are in the pipeline.
Vice Minister Sutta specified that the articulated work of the MTC with the National Port Authority, Proinversión, regional and local governments, and the private sector will be key to this plan.
