The process of partial refund to workers who contributed to the defunct National Housing Fund (Fonavi) began in December of last year. However, there is a group of former taxpayers and their heirs who did not make this payment effective and who are part of payment group No. 20.

This new subscription would be activated in the last week of January, according to the Secretariat of the Ad Hoc Commission. In addition to this situation, since this week it was made public that Fonavistas can now obtain their Certificate of Recognition of Contributions and Rights (Cerad) through the official website of the Fonavi Technical Secretariat. In the following note, we tell you what this certificate is for and how you can access it.

What is Cerad for Fonavistas and what is its importance?

In statements to the Andina agency, engineer Patricia Serpa, platform supervisor of the Fonavi Technical Secretariat, pointed out that the Certificate of Recognition of Contributions and Rights (Cerad) It is a record that contains all the Fonavista data about the funds contributed, the time elapsed and the amount you will receive in this procedure. However, this document is not necessary for the refund process, as its sole purpose is to provide information.

“The Cerad is the certificate of recognition of the contributions of the Fonavistas. It is the detail of what they are being recognized according to what we have been able to verify with the sources,” he said.

It is worth mentioning that Fonavistas who have not received full recognition of their contributions have the possibility of attaching supporting documentation and challenging the Cerad issued.
