He Executive power approved the Supreme Decree No. 002-2024-EF, in which the readjustment of pensions for members of the Pension Normalization Office (ONP) is provided. How much is the pension increase for ONP members and who are the beneficiaries?
According to Supreme Decree No. 002-2024-EFthe readjustment of the pension to the beneficiaries of the ONP is S/30. The amount will begin to be delivered from the effective date of this supreme decree. In the case of the month of January, the payment will be regularized along with that of February.
The beneficiaries are those affiliated with the ONP of the regime of Decree Law No. 20530 who have turned 65 years of age or older as of December 31, 2023. However, there is a limitation indicated in article 1.3 of Supreme Decree No. 002-2024-EF, which indicates that in no case the annual amount can exceed 28 UIT. For this calculation, we consider “adjusted pensions, additional pensions, bonuses or bonuses, schooling bonuses and any other concept that is made available to the pensioner during the year.”
Furthermore, in the event that the pensioner receives more than one pension, this readjustment is carried out on the one with the largest amount.
