Peru won the title of best culinary destination in the world in the World Travel Awards (WTA), which is considered the World Travel Award in Spanish. In addition, Machu Picchu won the distinction of the best tourist attraction in the world and Peru the distinction of best leading cultural destination in the world, reported the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperú).
Amora Carbajal, executive president of Promperú, said that she is proud that the country is positioned as one of the most important tourist destinations in the world. It should be noted that the WTA awards honor excellence in all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.
