Engineer Henry John Luna Córdova was appointed by the Peruvian Government as the new Vice Minister of Mines in the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem).
The supreme resolution No. 001-2024-EM published this Friday the 12th also accepts the resignation made by Jaime César Chávez Riva Gálvez, thanking him for the services provided.
Luna Córdova has more than 30 years of professional experience in mining, geological and cadastral issues in the specialties of Topography, Geodesy, Cadastral Management, Quality Management, Mining Management, Environmental Management, Mining Cadastre and Mining Rights.
He is a master in “Mining and Environment” and a Mining Engineer with completed Doctorate studies in “Environment and Sustainable Development”. Likewise, he has Diplomas in Mining, Environmental, Cadastral Management, Quality and Mining Safety issues.
He is currently a professor of the Mining Surveying course at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and executive president of Ingemmet.
