The price of the dollar closed lower and stood at S / 4.0400 in operations on Thursday, December 16. The greenback started the day at S / 4.0470, as reported by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

In this way, the currency decreased by 0.37% compared to the close of last Wednesday, December 15, when it stood at S / 4.0550. The purchase in the parallel market was located at S / 4.02 and the sale at S / 4.05. As for the price of the dollar in the main windows of the country, it stands at the purchase of S / 4.0336 and the sale of S / 4.0449, according to Bloomberg.

During the day, the issuing entity placed exchange swaps for S / 205 million. Likewise, it accumulates a gain of 11.63% against the sun so far in 2021, after closing at S / 3,619 in 2020.

This occurs when the Congress of the Republic will debate the motion of censure against the president of the Congress, Maria del Carmen Alva.
