Given the insecurity situation the country is experiencing, the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) has announced that it is suspending in-person services in its agencies across the country, but will maintain its services virtually, all to ensure security.

“The Internal Revenue Service, in accordance with Executive Decrees 110 and 111, informs that the attention of our services will be directed virtually in order to protect the safety and well-being of all,” the entity’s statement said.

SRI has indicated that as of yesterday, Tuesday, January 9, the provision of services will be exclusively available through a virtual platform, which can be accessed from the official website: www.sri.gob.ec.

The entity has indicated that it will immediately announce when personal services will resume.

Under the state of emergency, the Ministry of Labor called on public and private institutions to adopt mechanisms to protect the physical integrity and well-being of workers at the national level.

The State Portfolio, headed by Ivonne Núñez, proposed the use of remote work modality.
