Yape, the digital wallet of the Banco de Crédito del Perú, will suspend payment of services and recharges for a few days because the financial institution has decided to carry out maintenance on this application, as well as its internet banking.
If you are a regular user of Yape to make payments for services – such as water, electricity, internet or mobile recharges -, in this note we will tell you more details about this momentary interruption of these functions.
Yape: what days will you perform maintenance on your system?
Yape and other Banco de Crédito apps will not have the service payment and recharge function available for more than one day. According to the financial entity, this measure applies from 11:00 pm on Friday the 5th to 8:00 am on Sunday, January 7.
Likewise, the company clarified that only this pair of services will not be available. All other operations, such as transfers, yapeos, online purchases, loan applications, etc., will be in correct operation.
What services can be paid with Yape?
These are the services that can be paid through the Yape application:
- DirecTV Cable
- Water: Sedapal, Sedapar, among others.
- Catalog sales: Yanbal
- Gas consumption: Quavii-GDP and Cálidda
- Light consumption: Enel, Enosa, Electronorte, Electrocentro and Hidrandina
- Telecommunications: Entel and Bitel.
How to create an account on Yape?
There are three types of accounts: Yape with BCP, Yape with ID and Yape with other financial entities. However, the procedure to create them is similar and we detail it below:
- Download Yape and select the ‘create account’ option.
- Enter your cell phone number and then the verification code that you will receive.
- Enter your ID and your email.
- Generate your 6-digit password, which you will always use to log in.
- Select if you want only with your DNI, BCP debit card or another card from another bank or savings bank.
- Validate your identity, answer the questions, select ‘continue’ and that’s it.
