The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) ordered that the FISE Voucher of S/43, intended for the purchase of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, also reach families in the area of influence of Lot Z-2B of Talara , in Piura, today under the operation of Petroperú.
Through supreme decree 035-2023-EM, the Peruvian Government extended the benefit received by Cuzco families from La Convencion, the province where Camisea gas is extracted (as well as the inputs to produce LPG), to “the provinces that are bordering natural gas fields in exploitation at sea“.
“To this end, the established targeting criteria are considered (…) Regarding the general criteria, a threshold of average monthly electricity consumption less than or equal to 100 kWh is considered,” the document states.
Additionally, the economic value of the FISE Voucher in La Convencion may be S/43, S/63 and S/80 (the latter, in the district of Megantoni), valid bimonthly for each calendar month, as established by the Administrator through resolution.
“For this purpose, the beneficiaries who meet the targeting criteria established in article 6 of this standard are considered. Regarding the general criteria, a threshold of average monthly electricity consumption less than or equal to 140 kWh/ month,” said Minem.
Finally, it is provided that, within a period of no more than 80 business days from the entry into force of this rule, the FISE Administrator carries out a study to survey socio-economic level conditions, access to energy, supply, among others. conditions in the districts of La Convencion, “in order to determine the economic value of social compensation for each district.”
