Real Foods will kick off 2024 by giving away its canned onions in Salinas and Quito to “start the year like a true Ecuadorian.”

The Negocios Industriales Real SA (Nirsa) brand plans to distribute 3,000 cans of onions from the early hours of this Monday, January 1, at strategic points in both cities.

In Salinas they will be there starting at 03:00 in five sectors:

This activity is part of the Real Foods initiative that seeks to declare the encebollado a cultural heritage of Ecuador, considered a symbolic dish of Ecuadorian gastronomy and a symbol of unity and celebration. Therefore, “aware of the cultural meaning and value that this dish has for the country, the brand proposes free delivery of the first encebollad of the year, so that Ecuadorians can start 2024 on the right foot”, according to a statement published by the Norlop Agency.

Real Foods has more than twenty presentations of tuna, nine sardines, onions, frozen shrimp, fish and rice in its portfolio.
