Latam suspends its commercial flights from Lima to London for commercial reasons

The airline Latam announced the temporary suspension of the route from Lima to London between February 2 to March 30. This coincides with the low season regarding passenger traffic to this destination. This will allow the company to restructure this commercial avenue. Currently, there are 5 weekly flights operated by the Boeing 787-8 with a capacity of 247 passengers.

What can I do if I had my flight scheduled from Lima to London in Latam?

Currently, Latam flights to London departed from Lima on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 9 p.m., and the return took place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. at night with London time. Due to its suspension, a total of 2,470 passengers could be affected weekly. Among them, some had already bought their ticket in advance to get them at a better price.

Therefore, Latam offers two alternatives for the protection of passengers affected by this measure:

This alternative consists of rescheduling the flight with a stopover in Sao Paulo:

Protection via MAD on LATAM + IB flights

Through this route, the flight is rescheduled with a stopover in Madrid and the trip with Iberia is completed:

• Protection on the LATAM flight will be according to the availability of the original cabin, in the lowest available class.
• Protection on the Iberia flight must be carried out in accordance with the available classes.
