This Thursday, December 28, a bill was approved in the Council of Ministers that simplifies tax regimes in order to benefit micro and small businesses (mypes).
Alex Contreras, Minister of Economy and Finance, indicated that the current regulatory framework for mypes “is complex and diverse”, to the point that there are no incentives for growth or the hiring of personnel; Therefore, all regimes are reduced to just two: a new, single, simplified regime for startups and another that covers the rest of the companies.
“Greater flexibility will be given, taking into account the seasonality of sales (…) The proposal also contemplates a transition period towards this new regime, which produces a series of incentives, I repeat, for the investment of our mypes, for the hiring of personnel so that companies that purchase inputs request electronic receipts.“he commented to the media.
The Executive’s proposal will be sent to Congress “for prompt discussion,” the official added.
