American brand Krispy Kreme continues to expand its donut business in Guayaquil and is now located at José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport.
It is his sixth location in the two months since he arrived in Ecuador. When it made its first opening, on October 26 in the Moderna Plaza shopping center in Samborondón, the brand announced that it would open four more stores in 2023 and they did: in San Marino Shopping, Village Plaza and Mall del Norte and another in Urdesa , in Víctor Emilio Estrada, next to Burger King.
But now add one more. At the airport, they are located at international arrivals, on the ground floor and at national departures (gate 4).
In Mall del Norte, Krispy Kreme opened its fourth location out of five planned in 2023 after arriving in Ecuador
The creation of new jobs is one of the goals with the arrival of the country brand. With the opening of the first location, Krispy Kreme spokeswoman Dolores Casal commented that 150 jobs were created and that with the opening of new facilities, these jobs will also increase.
And precisely with the presence of the brand in the airport, which has more than 13,000 locations worldwide, the Minister of Labor Ivonne Núñez highlighted the case of Mirka, a young woman who started working there on December 22 and who secured benefits from the Organic Law of Economic Efficiency and the Creation of New jobs, the first law of the new government of Daniel Noboa, which entered into force on December 20.
“Mirka started working on Friday, December 22, 2023, she is 21 years old. She is a young woman who benefits from the Employment Law,” Núñez wrote on her X account (formerly Twitter).

In the tax reform, proposed by President Daniel Noboa, among the proposals is an additional income tax deduction for those who employ young people between the ages of 18 and 29 who graduated or graduated from public universities and high technical institutes, technological, pedagogical, artistic and higher conservatories or public, municipal or custodial educational institutions.
Minister of Labour: We hope that in 60 days there will be a very significant part of young people who are already in full employment after the entry into force of the emergency law
The American brand, born in the 1930s, arrived in Ecuador with an initial investment of one million dollars. As part of its expansion plans in the country, it plans to open stores in Quito in 2024.
