A bank, supermarkets and even a cement plant are among the ten companies with the best reputation in the country.

This is what the magazine shows Business reportfrom Diario EL UNIVERSO, which recognizes national business prestige in the December issue of Top 100 Merco.

He ranking Merco (Business Monitor of Corporate Reputation) is supported by Research Analysis of Spain. With a presence in fifteen Latin American countries, year after year it is obtained from research conducted on different interest groups or participantsthe results of which are audited by KPMG.

What are the companies and leaders with the best reputation in Ecuador?

For the 11th edition, a total of 580 managers from companies with turnover greater than $20 million answered the selection questionnaire ranking a temporary company which was then handed over to experts from different fields for consideration.

The groups that Merco consults, in addition to company directors, are financial analysts, journalists of economic information, managers of non-governmental organizations, experts in management systems and university professors in the business field.

These are the ten companies:

1. Favorite corporation

It is the company that for the fifth year in a row leads the list of companies with the highest revenues, according to the ranking of supervisory companies for 2022, Securities and insurance (supermarkets). This company generated revenue of 2355 million dollars.

According to the website, it has 24,152 employees, 15,644 suppliers, 3,535,048 clients and has generated 346,066 indirect jobs.

2. Nestle

It is one of the main companies in the country and has a wide portfolio. It has a program that empowers young people and develops youth talent from multiple perspectives.

It provided more than 1,900 opportunities for youth employment and more than 800 in practice, training and dual education programs.

3. Finder

It appears in the seventh place ranking from Supercies with $1,076 million in revenue. Last November, he chaired the first table of the industrial sector to strengthen the circular economy, according to a post on the website.

4. National brewery

8. Paccari

Paccari is a company that celebrated two decades of experience in 2022. It stands out with its business model of triple impact, achieving social, ecological and economic balance, through its line of 100% organic chocolate and other food products that come from sustainable production in organic and biodynamic processes, on certified farms.

The brand is present in more than 40 markets worldwide and has received almost 400 awards for the quality and unique properties of its chocolate.

9. Pichincha Bank

This banking entity is the largest in the country with a profit of 173.5 million dollars, 26.3% more than in the same period in 2022, according to data from the Supervisory Board of Banks.

Last September, Banco Pichincha allocated 20 million dollars through the contribution of the National Finance Corporation (CFN) as part of the program that the government institution maintains with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

10. Coca Cola

With the aim of seeking the evolution of Coca-Cola Ecuador’s beverage portfolio, creating and placing more returnable bottles in personal and family presentations in the market and acquiring platforms, shelves and refrigeration equipment for marketing, the company and Arca Continental Ecuador planned to invest USD 64 million, starting in 2022. until next year.
