MEF raised the capital of the Banco de la Nación to S/2.1 billion

Through DS 294-2023-EF, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) raised the capital for the Banco de la Nación from S/1,600 million to S/2,100.

In detail, the expansion of resources is given so that the entity continues expanding its offer of financial services to subnational governments, vulnerable sectors of the population and to reach remote homes within the subsidiary role of a public company.

It is also contemplated to increase the authorized amount of the Special Financial Support Program for Micro and Small Businesses (Promype) by S/1.3 billionnow reaching S/2,500 million to continue celebrating financing agreements with entities of the financial system that grant loans to mypes in a key context of recovery.

Each financing will undergo a risk assessment in accordance with SBS regulations. It should be added that, so far this year, Promype has benefited more than 100,000 businesses nationwide.
