The dollar closed the day this Monday, December 18, lower and was located at S/3.7380, which meant a decline of 0.59% compared to Friday’s close when it was quoted at S/3.7600, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP). So far this year the currency has accumulated a variation of -1.81%.

At 1.50 pm the US currency in the parallel market It was quoted at S/3,720 for the purchase and S/3,760 for the sale. While in the banking market The purchase amounted to S/3.7070 and the sale amounted to S/3.7730 at the counters of the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP).

Internationally, as reported by Reuters, the dollar has shown a sharp fall over the past week after the Federal Reserve (FED) will indicate the possibility of interest rate cuts for 2024.
