According to the entity, the application will allow the BCRP to strengthen the dissemination of the security elements of its banknotes and coins, adding to the informative material published on the institutional portal, virtual talks and presentations in the media.
This application has an educational approach through mobile devices, in order to help users identify the authenticity of bills and coins, in addition to consulting the database of counterfeit bills that have been detected. The entity specifies that this tool by itself does not authenticate bills or coins.
How to access the BCRP application?
The application will be available for free for devices with iOS and Android systems in the APP Store and Play Store, respectively.
Likewise, the application BCRP Banknotes and Coins allows you to make complaints about people who transport, market or distribute counterfeit bills or coins, by contacting the Central Office to Fight Cash Counterfeiting (OCN) directly, through a toll-free line, WhatsApp or email.
