Work stress has coexisted with us since ancient times, but it is only now being given the required attention. According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), Mental exhaustion increases the chances of looking for a new job after one year of completing your relationship with a company.

In Peru, 67% of employees feel emotionally exhausted by work and 29% do not feel fulfilled with their job. Another 19% do not feel good at work and 25% feel that they are not able to deploy their capabilities in the workplace.

“Prioritizing a fair and healthy organizational space is the essential path to guarantee the mental health of workers. Without mental, physical and emotional health there is no productivity, good results and growth. We need to look at our team beyond numbers and performance,” argues Ricardo Triana, executive director of PMI.

Likewise, it points out that in women the exhaustion rate at the regional level is 46%, while in men it is 37%. The difference is explained by the domestic workload carried by women.

Triana recommends prioritizing a fair and healthy organizational space to balance the mental health from the workers. “Without mental, physical and emotional health there is no productivity, good results and growth. We need to look at our team beyond numbers and performance,” he concluded.
