Peruvian fishing exporters reach agreements for US$93 million with Asian businessmen

After the interruption generated by the pandemic, the fair was held this year China Fisheries & Seafood Expo (CFSE), the most important in the Asian fishing sector. A delegation of Peruvian exporters participated and reached trade agreements for US$93 million.

In total, there were 19 companies in the export sector, from Lima, Piura and Ica, that negotiated with businessmen from China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam; in a fair in which more than 30,000 professionals in the sector, from 88 countries, play their best cards.

The high demand for the Peruvian portfolio, according to PromPeru, he concentrated on the squid. Of the total negotiated, US$5 million was finalized on the CFSE and US$88 million will materialize in the next 12 months.

The boost to squid was given with the support of the importer Havesea and consisted of putting squid snacks made by this company on sale, using packaging that made visible the Peruvian origin of the input, through the use of the Peru and Super brand. Foods Peru.
