The minister highlighted that Midagri is committed to continuing to work together with the regional government of La Libertad to achieve the objectives established in the Chavimochic Special Project for the benefit of the population and enhance agricultural development in the north of the country.
For his part, the regional governor thanked the agriculture sector for its commitment to actions aimed at accelerating the execution of the Chavimochic III project, since this will allow joining efforts for the completion of the long-awaited project.
The completion of the Palo Redondo de Chavimochic III work will allow 30,000 hectares to be enabled for the irrigation system, the generation of 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, in addition to US$1.5 billion in foreign exchange generated by agro-export crops.
