The airline company Avianca has changed the presentation of its brand. Instead of a capital A at the beginning, it is now with the same vowel, but with a lowercase letter. Through social networks and an event in Bogotá, the company announced this change of image, whose motto is: ‘Paradise belongs to everyone.’

Regarding the rebuilding process, the airline’s president Adrián Neuhauser said that we have to go back to 2020, the year in which the pandemic broke out and created a serious crisis, but that it also means overcoming it.

“Today we say hello with the lowercase letter Avianca and goodbye with a capital A. This is a sign of our history, but it also represents who we are today. We welcome the renewed, nimble, affordable and cheerful Avianca. An Avianca that looks you in the face and calls you by name, in which we are all welcome… An Avianca that proudly carries the flag of this country (Colombia), but also of El Salvador, Ecuador and all the rest of Latin America,” said Neuhauser.

Avianca will have direct flights from Quito to Orlando starting in October

This rebranding is also accompanied by the opening of at least 30 routes over the next five years, this as part of expansion plans, according to the airline’s CEO, Frederico Pedreira, during an event held last week.

For next year, they also plan to transport 40 million passengers, this year more than 32 million passengers are registered, says Pedreira.

Pedreira also indicated that it will generate more than 1,200 direct jobs and 600 indirect incremental jobs in the last six months.

He also announced that 16 planes will fly by the end of the month, and in December there will be 25 percent more seats than in December 2009.

By 2025, he commented, it plans to install more than 100 aircraft of the next generation, the A320neo model.
