Annual Economic Survey 2023 will be from November 2 to February 12

The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) authorized the execution of the Annual Economic Survey 2023 (EEA 2023) at the national level, to be held from November 2 of this year to February 12, 2024.

Headquarters resolution No. 284-2023-INEI establishes that companies that carried out any economic activity during the year 2022 are required to present themselves.

The sectors involved are Commerce, Services, Private Higher Education, Private Education, Fishing, Aquaculture, Travel Agencies, Lodging, Restaurants, Manufacturing, Construction, Transport and Communications, Hydrocarbons and Electricity and Power Generation.

The survey will be carried out electronically. For this purpose, companies must access the online form through the INEI website, using their username and password.

The companies that have been selected in the sample are required to register their economic-financial information corresponding to the financial year 2022 in the web form. Not all companies will be registered.

The 2022 financial year is applicable only to companies that are required to register their economic and financial operations through the General Business Accounting Plan – PCGE, INEI specifies.

“Natural and legal persons obliged to present the information may do so through a web application that will be available at the address https: //censos.inei.gob.pe/economicas/ using a password which will be provided by the INEI through a letter addressed to each company,” the organization detailed.

Companies that fail to submit the requested information within the established period will be previously notified and Failure to comply with the delivery of the required information may result in a fine.“specifying that payment of the fine does not exempt them from the obligation to present the requested information.”

Finally, companies that have satisfactorily completed the information and approval of the form may download the form directly or request Reception Conformity by sending an email to their sector representative indicating the RUC number of the company, according to the economic activity that they develop.

The 2023 Annual Economic Survey will be carried out by the National Directorate of Censuses and Surveys of the INEI, Departmental and Zonal Offices of Statistics and Informatics-ODEIs, OZEIs, Statistical Bodies of the Regional Governments and those in charge of statistical production in the corresponding ministries.
