New rules in the Jorge Chávez airport parking lot: since when will they be effective?

The Supervisory Body for Investment in Public Use Transportation Infrastructure (Ositran), in an effort to guarantee adequate information for the benefit of users, taxi drivers and passengers, reported that it has approved to extend the date of entry into force of the ‘General conditions and rules for the use of the parking lot at the Jorge Chávez International Airport (AIJC)’, which will be due on December 1.

According to the entity, andThis extension will allow airport users to learn about the new rules for using the parking lot and will promote a safer and more orderly environment.

“In Resolution No. 0045-2023-CD-OSITRAN, approved by the Board of Directors of Ositrán, it is specified that Lima Airport Partners (LAP), concessionaire of the airport, must intensify the dissemination of said standard among users, guaranteeing that they receive adequate, truthful and timely information,” Ositrán said in a press release.

Previous modification

In a previous resolution, the supervisory body modified the “general conditions and rules for the use of the parking lot at the AIJC”, so that taxi drivers can enter without having to prove a service request from the passenger.

Furthermore, he reiterated the prohibition of offering any service or product not authorized by LAP in the parking lot, emphasizing that taxi drivers are prevented from offering taxi service or passenger transportation out loud, directly or through “pullers.”

In this sense, Ositrán highlighted that LAP must apply the rule in strict observance of the rights of the users and if it detects any non-compliance by users with the aforementioned rule, may restrict their access. If so, you must prove the misconduct through videos or photographs, otherwise you would incur a serious infraction.

The regulatory body will play a fundamental role in the supervision and application of these conditions for the benefit of all AICJ users.
