In the midst of an economic recession in the Perutoday Monday, October 23, the National Society of Industries (SNI) will install a mixed executive board for the productive development of the Lambayeque region in the next 20 years. Previously, the president of said union, Jesús Salazar Nishi, spoke about this initiative and the political instability that the country is experiencing.
“I understand that the powers of the State are not aligned with the development and progress of the country. And I say it without any fear of saying it. What we see is that there are powers of State who do not coordinate, for example, to see how we raise the economy of Peru. And not to get distracted by issues like those,” Salazar responded when asked about Congress’s intention to bankrupt the National Board of Justice (JNJ).
“It seems to me that today in Peru, in the midst of an economic emergency, neither the Executive nor the Legislative (Branch) have promoted measures that have a positive result. It is time for the three powers of the State to sit down and for us to begin to envision a growing Peru. But they need to agree. If I have a Congress that is not in tune with the needs of the people, we are going to be destined for another year without economic growth,” he added.
Regarding the mixed executive table to be installed in LambayequeSalazar emphasized the importance of regions leading industrial development, in alliance with the private and public sectors. The SNI signed an agreement with the Regional Government of Lambayeque.
“In Lambayeque, the agricultural sector represents more than 12% of the GDP of the region and has more than 20% of the department’s workforce. We need to promote this sector, so that they move from the agricultural sector to agroindustrial. We must give added value to the products produced in Lambayeque,” Salazar pointed out.
