CAN SEE:
It has been an encouraging year for our country in terms of awards and nominations: a few months ago Peru was considered the best culinary destination in South America with the WTA South America award. Likewise, Machu Picchu was considered the leading tourist attraction in South America and PromperĂș, the leading tourist office in South America.
Tourism decentralization
This award obliges to perfect the tourist services that revolve around this resource, to recognize the great opportunities and potential of this segment for the development of our regions, as well as promoting the decentralization of tourism, being integrated into the national plans for tourist reactivation for the medium and long term.
For its part, PromperĂș highlighted the need to generate sustainable and responsible tourism with the communities and the environment, and to integrate it into decentralization to achieve the development of inbound and internal tourism.
In this sense, he congratulated those who work to make Peru an ideal destination for the river cruise industry, from where it will help to preserve our culture, biodiversity and aim to always be a destination with high quality tourist services.
