The Plenary of Congress approved — with 88 votes in favor, 4 abstentions and 4 against — the Executive Branch bill that contemplates additional credits for more than S/1,580 million.
These resources, which will be added to this year’s budget, will be key to taking actions against El Niño at the three levels of government and to boost the economy.
“The ruling will allow us to promote the reactivation of our economy and address the emergency generated by the rains and floods,” said José Jerí Oré, president of the Congressional Budget Commission.
Within the list of resources, the bonus of S/600 is approved for state workers under regimes 276, 728, CAS, civil service law, special public prison career and diplomatic service of the Republic.
Alex Contreras, head of the MEF, pointed out that they have received an additional authorization for more than S/5,000 million that “without a doubt will contribute to the recovery of our country.”
“The Peruvian economy is strong. It has overcome a series of complicated contexts and this time will not be the exception,” he commented, on a day marked by the MEF’s announcement about the Peruvian economic recession.
