With 40 new car models, AutoMundo 2023 will begin this Thursday, October 19, at the Metropolitan Convention Center in Quito. The Association of Automobile Companies of Ecuador (Aeade) presents the nineteenth edition of this commercial showcase that will be held for four days, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
More than 170 models of light vehicles (SUVs, cars and trucks) available on the Ecuadorian market will be exhibited at the fair, but 40 of them will be models that have not been on the market of this country before. According to the organizers, it will be a sample of the domestic market, which currently has 377 models of light vehicles, 112% more than in 2016, when 178 models of light vehicles were available.
Some brands are already announcing their new products. Thus, the Chinese Changan reported that the launch of the new X7 Plus, the first model of the Changan Auto SUV brand with 3 rows of seats, will be held as part of the event. “This is the model that consumers of the brand have most expected due to its 7-seater features, which allows us to enter this segment strongly,” the brand said.
Genaro Baldeón, executive president of Aeade, emphasized that Automundo 2023 will be a reflection of the development and innovation of the automotive sector on a global level. “The world is transforming and new consumers demand more efficient technologies, with fewer emissions,” he pointed out.
He explained that new models of electric and hybrid vehicles will be presented during the event, which will meet the growing demand for these technologies.
Light vehicle brands such as: Baic, Changan, Chery, Chevrolet, Dodge, DFSK, Dongfeng, FIAT, Ford, Foton, GAC Motor, Geely, Great Wall, Haval (Ambacar), Honda, Hyundai, JAC (Starmotors) will participate in this meeting. ), Jeep, Kia, KYC, Maxus, Mazda, MG, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, RAM, Renault, Vehicentro – Sinotruk, Suzuki, Shineray, SWM, Toyota and Volskwagen.
