The price of lemon continues to fall and falls to S/3 per kilogram in wholesalers

He Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) reported that, this Monday, October 16, 2023, the lemon subtle on the stock market registered the lowest seasonal price when sold at around S/3 per kilogram due to a greater volume of supply, which generated a stock above 90%.

The subtle lemon in a bag, at the wholesale level, was sold this morning at S/3.06 per kilogram, while the subtle lemon in a box at S/4.02 per kilogram.

Regarding the total supply of vegetables and tubers, the Great Wholesale Market of Lima (GMML) recorded the entry of 6,286 tons, a volume higher by 7.9% compared to the last four Mondays. Likewise, 562 tons of potatoes of various varieties entered, an amount higher by 2.7% in relation to the last four Mondays.

The main wholesale offers this morning were yellow sweet potato at S/0.48 per kilogram; purple sweet potato at S/0.85 per kilogram; yungay potato at S/0.91 per kilogram; yellow cassava at S/0.93 per kilogram; single potato at S/1.06 per kilogram; mountain green beans at S/1.15 per kilogram; red head onion at S/1.18 per kilogram; carrot at S/1.25 per kilogram; macre squash at S/1.30 per kilogram, among others.

Meanwhile, the Fruit Market No. 2 of La Victoria was supplied with 2,419 tons of different fruits. Today’s main offers are the Valencia orange at S/0.86 per kilogram; watermelon at S/0.90 per kilogram; banana cake at S/1.07 per kilogram; coquito melon at S/1.19 per kilogram; Creole pineapple at S/1.23 per kilogram; papaya at S/1.52 per kilogram; tangelo orange at S/1.80 per kilogram; striped cucumber at S/1.88, among others.

On the other hand, the price of chicken remains stable without variation, reaching S/5.82 per kilogram today in the main live bird distribution centers of the capital, while the wholesale price of eggs continues to decline and It is trading today at less S/8.20 per kilogram.
