The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) appointed Jorge Roman Bustamante Albújar as the new vice minister of Construction and Sanitation.
Through supreme resolution No. 025-2023-VIVIENDA, the former chief of staff of the ministerial office of the Ministry of Defense is appointed for the position that has been vacant since last June, when Iván Lucicc resigned.
Bustamante Albújar, with a degree in Military Sciences, previously served as Director of the Office of National Security and Defense of the General Secretariat of the MVCS.
According to his resume, he has a master’s degree in Administrative Sciences with a mention in Business Management, as well as a postgraduate degree in Senior Management and Public Administration.
Bustamante’s arrival at the MVCS occurs at a time when a possible privatization of Sedapal is being debated, based on alleged mismanagement that was uncovered after the announced water cut last week.
The resolution published today in the El Peruano newspaper has the signature of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, and the Minister of Housing, Hania Pérez de Cuéllar.
