He lemon wholesale price This Monday, October 9, it reached its lowest level so far this month. It was sold at a minimum of S/4.11 per kilogram in its stock market presentation. This is due to a greater volume of supply compared to previous weeks, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri). The subtle lemon in a box was sold for S/6.20 per kilogram.
According to the Price Supply System (SISAP), during October 8 and 9, the price of subtle lemon in the bag experienced a notable decrease of 44.76%, falling from S/7.44 per kilogram to S /4.11 per kilogram. Furthermore, so far this month, it has suffered a reduction of 54.64% per kilogram.
For its part, the subtle lemon in a box also experienced a significant decrease of 17.21%, going from S/7.61 to S/6.30 per kilogram during the same period. Since the beginning of October, it has seen a reduction of 32.98% per kilogram.
It should be noted that this morning, 804 tons of lemon entered the Great Wholesale Market of Lima (GMML), which represented 55% more volume compared to the average of the last four Mondays. Fruit stocks reached 100%.
Supply is maintained
Midagri also reported that the entry of 8,035 tons of vegetables and fruits was reported, adding the reports collected from the GMML and the Fruit Market No. 2 of La Victoria.
In the case of the GMML, the entry of 5,563 tons of products including legumes, vegetables and tubers was recorded. Likewise, 527 tons of potatoes of various varieties were registered.
The main wholesale offers this morning were yellow sweet potato at S/0.54 per kilogram; Yungay potato at S/0.85 per kilogram; purple sweet potato at S/0.95 per kilogram; yellow cassava at S/1.03 per kilogram; green mountain bean at S/1.23 per kilogram; red head onion at S/1.28 per kilogram; Creole carrot at S/1.33 per kilogram; macre squash at S/1.88 per kilogram, among others.
While in the Fruit Market No. 2 of La Victoria, the entry of 2,472 tons of different fruits was recorded. Today’s main offers are Valencia orange at S/0.94 per kilogram; banana cake at S/1.04 per kilogram; watermelon at S/1.13 per kilogram; Creole pineapple at S/1.27 per kilogram; coquito melon at S/1.35 per kilogram; malvaceae mandarin at S/1.68 per kilogram; papaya at S/1.73 per kilogram, among others.
Chicken continues to decline
Live chicken continues to have a downward price, reaching S/5.42 soles per kilogram today in the main live bird distribution centers in the capital; while the wholesale price of eggs is quoted at less than S/8.50 per kilogram.
