Bono Soy Peruano 2023 does not exist: what subsidies are available in Peru?

Last Tuesday, September 26, the search went viral on Google Peru ‘Bonus I’m Peruvian‘, since word spread that there was a new subsidy from the Government with that name; However, this is not true, since no financial support with that name appears in the list of benefits of institutional organizations. For this reason, several media outlets warned that this supposed advertisement could be a scam to trick citizens into fraudulent links or false forms. What subsidies have been announced by the Peruvian Government?

• Bonus S/600: more than 582,000 public sector workers, who are linked to the CAS regime, the civil service law, the special public prison career and the diplomatic service of the Republic; They will benefit from a subsidy of S/600. In addition, employees of legislative decrees 276 and 728 will also be included. Although this support has been announced by the Executive, for now, there is no link or a date to know when this money will be provided, because it is still pending its approval by Congress.
• S/800 bonus: This benefit has also been communicated as a financial subsidy offered to tourist guides, with the aim of providing recognition to this arduous task that had its most critical moments during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this case, also, at the moment, a specific link has not been made known to know the details of this procedure.
• Resilient Puna: The main objective of the project is to restore and protect Andean ecosystems from the dangers associated with climate change, which is why this program benefits 1,200 producers in charge of 10,000 hectares.
• Rentoca: aimed at all art, culture and related workers, registered in Rentoca and who have a registration resolution issued until December 31, 2022. • Teacher bonus: This September, teachers and educational assistants, appointed and hired, from basic education institutions, as well as teachers from schools managed by the Ministry of Defense, will receive an extraordinary bonus of S/220 thanks to the negotiation agreement collective 2023-2024 between the Ministry of Education (Minedu) and the Unitary Union of Education Workers of Peru (Sutep).
