The MiVivienda Fund was created in 1998, through law 26912, with the objective of promoting and financing the purchase, improvement and remodeling of homes. This program belongs to the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation and seeks to increase the supply of houses, which until March of this year reached 41,509 housing units nationwide.

MiVivienda Fund: how to register to access?

  • You must register your family group at the offices and centers authorized nationwide by the MiVivienda Fund. In Lima, you can go to Jr. Camaná 199, Cercado de Lima, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.   • Present your national identity document (DNI) and that of your spouse or cohabitant, if applicable, and have the information of all the members of the family group.
  • If the family head is made up of a cohabiting couple without having married, the form must be signed by both. If both are married, said document must be signed by one of them.

MiVivienda Fund: what are the requirements?

  1. Family groups must have independent land or air free of charges.
  2. Not having previously received housing support from the State.
  3. For the purchase of a home: the Monthly Family Income (MIF) must not exceed S/3,715. For Prioritized VIS cases, it should not exceed S/2,071.
  4. For the construction of a home: the Monthly Family Income (IFM) must not exceed S/2,706.
  5. For the improvement of a home: the Monthly Family Income (MIF) must not exceed S/2,706.
  6. If they want to buy a home, they will not be able to have another home or land nationwide.
  7. If you want to build or improve your home, you must be the owner of the property where the work will be carried out; it must be registered in Public Registries without charges or encumbrances. In addition, they must not have other land or housing at the national level.
