MTPE issued nearly 2 and a half million unique labor certificates

A total of 2 million 485,896 unique labor certificates (CUL)an official document for those seeking and applying for a job, were issued free of charge from January to July 2023 by the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE).

It is a document that It brings together the police, judicial, criminal records, the identity validation of Reniec, as well as the educational history and formal work experience of the citizens. The issuance of this official document at no cost represents an estimated saving of S/100 for the applicant.

Of the total certificates issued, 1 million 785,662 accessed the CUL for youth and (Certijoven) and 1 million 316,873 accessed the CUL for adults (Certiadulto).

The regions of metropolitan Lima (520,331), Callao (79,641), Piura (67,090), La Libertad (56,732), Arequipa (50,803), Lambayeque (40,744) and Lima provinces (36,646) register the highest number of applications and certificates issued.

Between January and July of the current year, a total of 1 million 664,543 men requested the CUL and a total of 821,353 women did the same.

How to obtain the CUL?

The single labor certificate is valid for three months after its issuance and consolidates in a single document official information from the Peruvian State—police, criminal and judicial records—that was previously requested separately and which saves time and money.

To obtain the CUL, Those interested must register or create an account with their ID on the Jobs Peru portal (www.empleosperu.gob.pe)enter your username and select the request to obtain the certificate from the menu options.

It is worth mentioning that the CUL consolidates the information that comes from the State Interoperability Platform (PIDE), which is fed by entities such as the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec), the Judiciary, the National Police of Peru (PNP ), the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE), the Ministry of Education (Minedu), the National Superintendency of Higher University Education (Sunedu) and the MTPE, each of which is responsible for permanently updating data.

The MTPE plans to issue, By the end of 2023, more than 3 million unique labor certificates nationwide to facilitate access to formal employment, one of the axes of action of the sector.
