Pedro Francke expects that the minimum remuneration increase will take place in 2022

The head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Pedro Francke, considered that the minimum vital remuneration (RMV) should rise next year, for which from his office they are making the respective calculations and thus be able to discuss it within the Executive.

“I think that if there should be a increase [en el 2022]. We are still fine-tuning the calculations to see what the amount would be and we have to discuss it within the government, ”Francke said in dialogue with Latina.

The official pointed out that this evaluation is given because there is already an important recovery of the national economy, however, it is being analyzed so that it does not affect the business.

“The minimum salary must be adjusted, we already have an important recovery. You have to be careful because when business is badly hit, then one says, it’s important but be careful. However, now the growth will be above 13% ”, he added.

Francke recalled that, given the rise in product prices, the Executive provided a bonus of S / 210.

“What we have done is that the S / 70, instead of paying them monthly in three parts, a bonus of S / 210 will be delivered, because it is easier to do it in a single payment. And that covers November, December and January, but from there we already have to analyze the increase in the minimum wage, because enough time has passed and inflation has affected households, “he said.
