Country brand: they make official a law that promotes and strengthens the image of Peru

The Executive Branch promulgated the law that establishes the Peru country brand to promote and strengthen the image of our country at the national and international level. The device had previously been approved by the Congress of the Republic.

Law No. 31877 seeks to contribute to strengthening the image of Peru as a country and encourage tourism, trade and business investments.

The standard seeks to promote the image and brand of the country of Peru in all official events locally and abroad, as well as its development through actions, activities, programs or projects linked to the promotion of the country’s image to national and international level.

It also seeks to promote the development of studies, research, campaigns, events and activities at a national and international level to strengthen the image and brand, including components of innovation and technological development when appropriate.

Finally, the Government seeks to promote the design, development and management of the material necessary for the “national and international dissemination of the image and the Peruvian country brand.”

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PromPerĂș) issue the regulations and actions necessary for the application and implementation of this law.

The Executive Branch, through its competent sectors, carries out the pertinent actions in order to provide continuity to the brand’s promotional actions and campaigns.
