Indecopi will auction houses, warehouses and a parking lot: how and when to participate?

The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) announced that it will hold its twelfth auction this year. On this occasion, the entity will auction various properties in Lima that were seized from citizens and companies that did not comply with the payment of fines imposed for violating the consumer rights or for not respecting intellectual property. In the twelfth auction of the year that Sunat will carry out, the following properties will be auctioned:

House in Cañete

Indecopi property auction: how to participate?

To participate in the Indecopi property auction, follow these steps:

• You must show up 30 minutes before the scheduled time, carrying your valid ID. If you come with an expired DNI, you will not be able to participate as indicated in article 37 of law 26497.
• You must prove an amount of no less than 10% of the appraised value of the property to be acquired, either in cash or by cashier’s check, payable to Indecopi.
• Those people who participate on behalf of another, whether natural or legal, must present a current power of attorney, registered in the respective registry office.
