The Supervisory Body for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel) confirmed a fine of S/1 million 182,060 against the company Telefónica del Perúafter having failed to deliver “mandatory information” in 2022.
According to Osiptel, the sanctioned company had failed to provide mandatory information, required through letter No. C.00797-DFI/2022, whose mandatory deadline for its presentation expired on April 18, 2022.
Through Resolution No. 216-2023-GG/OSIPTEL, notified on June 21, 2023, the First Instance decided to impose a fine of 238.8 UIT on Telefónica for committing the “very serious” infraction.
On July 13, 2023, by letter No. TDP-2474-AR-ADR-23, Telefónica filed a Reconsideration Appeal, which has finally been declared unfounded by Board of Directors resolution 00259-2023-CD/OSIPTEL.
