He Communications sector next to Energy and Public Services lead employment expectations for the last quarter of this year with a intention to hire personnel that reaches 44%according to the latest Employment Expectations Survey of ManpowerGroup.
In accordance with Daniel Galdoscommercial manager of ManpowerGroup, the leadership of the communications sector for the end of the year is driven by the investments that are being made to reduce the connectivity gap in the country.
In this sense, he highlighted that although challenges still persist in relation to fiber optic infrastructure, Initiatives are expected to resume towards the end of the year. “That is generating an interesting mood in this sector,” he commented.
Furthermore, Galdos emphasized that the Energy and Public Services sector will experience a notable boost thanks to investments in sustainable and efficient energy projects, such as wind and solar energy at the end of the year.
In the group of sectors with the best results in employment expectations is also Information Technology with 37%. In contrast, the sectors with the lowest results are Finance and Real Estate; Consumer Goods and Services; and Life and Health Sciences, with +33%, +28% and +12% respectively.
In Galdos’ opinion, the solid expectation in the technology sector is linked to the urgent need for companies to take advantage of technological advances, such as artificial intelligence, to improve the efficiency of their processes. In contrast, the reduced demand for personnel in the field of Health Sciences is explained by the high hiring rate during the pandemic period, which has eliminated the need to increase staff in companies in this sector.
It is important to note that in the “Other” category, which includes activities such as agriculture, the expectation of hiring personnel stands at 24%. This is due to the fear that prevails in this sector in relation to the possible impact of the El Niño Phenomenon.
Regarding the regions evaluated in this new survey, Ucayali and Arequipa stand out with the highest hiring intentions, with +47% and +36% respectively. Other regions that show high hiring intentions are Lambayeque (+35%) and Lima (+34%). Junín is the region with the lowest expectations, with +13%.
