The Mall del Norte commercial space received its first visitors tonight, and from 10:00 this Friday, September 8, it will be open to the general public, aiming to serve the area of ​​influence that surrounds Francisco de Orellana Avenue, which is 800,000 people.

The mayor of Guayaquil, Aquiles Alvarez, and the governor of Guayas, Francesco Tabacchi, were in charge of cutting the ribbon that officially opened the operation of this new shopping center with 130 shops.

The authorities highlighted the investment in the construction of Mall del Norte and the creation of jobs and businesses.

The mayor commented that this new shopping center would benefit almost a million Guayaquileños in the area “who had nothing, there was nothing here” and publicly promised “to illuminate the whole of Francisco de Orellana, which is completely abandoned and without light.”

He said that with these investments and the lighting of public spaces, violence and crime are suppressed.

He thanked Grupo Corporación Favorita for investing in Guayaquil and said that all developers in the country will have benefits for investing in the city.
