The head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Alex Contreras, reiterated that he will file a lawsuit before the Constitutional Court (TC) against the Recognition Bond Law (Law No. 31729), approved at the insistence of Congress and promulgated last Thursday, April 27.
“One will be from the Pension Standardization Office (ONP) for the Recognition Bonus and the other, for the change in the “tip” of the military. Next week it will be sent to the Constitutional Court”, affirmed the head of the MEF during an event in Peru Markets & Investments, organized by El Dorado, this Tuesday, September 5.
Contreras also pointed out that the Council of Ministers has already approved taking the necessary measures and that the request to declare the unconstitutionality will be sent in the next few days.
As recalled, Congress published the rule that seeks to update the recognition bonus after 20 years, so that ex-affiliates of the National Pension System (SNP) who moved to the Private Pension System (SPP) since 2002 can request the transfer of their contributed money once they reach retirement age (65 years). The regulations also cover those who decide to migrate to the AFPs in the future.
