During the last few days, a series of regions of the Peru has been experiencing a serious shortage of Petroleum liquid gas (LPG). This has not only caused long lines to be generated at the taps, but also the increase in the price of fuel.

What function does the New Talara Refinery fulfill?

According to Petroperú, the New Talara Refinery, in Piura, completed the first discharge of LPG, which will serve to supply the final consumer in the north of the country. Currently, the fuel has a 10% reduction in its production cost, so it will see a lower cost reflected in Petrored taps.

In the Primax La Macarena taps and the one located in the industrial zone, LPG is exhausted. They sell it from S/9 to S/9.49 per gallon.

At the PetroPerú tap, located on Avenida Sanchez Cerro, the gallon is being sold for S/9.55.

LPG price in Puno

The Republic made a tour in the southern zone of the city of Puno and verified that only the Porteño tap (Pecsa), on Simón Bolívar avenue, sells LPG. The gallon is S/11.50. The rest of the establishments do not sell.

When will there be normalization of the LPG supply?

60% of taps in Lambayeque do not have LPG

The president of the Regional Transportation Coordinator, Wilson Míñope, said that 60% of taps in Lambayeque are out of LPG supply, because the fuel is left in the parking lot of the capital of Lima.

  • LPG price in Tumbes: the gallon is sold between S/10.80 and S/12.50.
  • LPG price in Piura: in this region, the gallon is costing between S/7.80 and S/9.75.
  • LPG price in Lambayeque: in the province of Chiclayo, the cost per gallon is between S/7.60 and S/11.99; while in the province of Lambayequethe gallon is sold between S/8.90 and S/10.99.
  • LPG price in La Libertad: the gallon is costing between S/7.80 and S/8.48 in the province of Trujillo. Also, the LPG on the tap primax from Av. Spain is already exhausted.
  • LPG price in Ancash: in this region it is costing an average of S/11.50. In some areas, the price is S/8, while in others it reaches values ​​of S/12 per gallon.
  • LPG price in Lima: The capital has the most varied cost of fuel among all the regions. The price ranges between S/6.79 and S/13.29 per gallon.
  • LPG price in Cusco: in this region, the gallon is costing S/10.95.
  • LPG price in Arequipa: the price in this department exceeds S/8. The cost ranges between S/8.55 and S/8.89 per gallon
  • LPG price in Ica: The price of fuel in this region is between S/ 6.26 and S/ 8.09 per gallon. It is one of the departments with the most comfortable prices.
  • LPG price in Moquegua: hydrocarbon is costing S/ 9.40 per gallon
  • LPG price in Tacna: fuel has an average price of S/ 7.40 per gallon; however, this varies depending on the sector.
  • LPG price in Puno: it is costing approximately S/ 11.50 per gallon
  • LPG price in Apurimac: the average price is S/ 10.19 per gallon
  • LPG price in Ayacucho: fuel is sold at a cost of S/ 8.78 per gallon
  • LPG price in Huancavelica: it sells between S/ 7.90 and S/ 8.25 per gallon.
  • LPG price in Junín: the cost ranges between S/ 7.05 and S/ 8.49
  • LPG price in Pasco: fuel is sold between S/ 7.79 and S/ 8.50 per gallon
  • LPG price in Huánuco: distribution companies sell the hydrocarbon between S/ 6.85 and S/ 8.69
