INEI: internal cement consumption fell for 11 consecutive months

According to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), the internal consumption of cement fell 6.10% during July — compared to the same month last year —, accumulating 11 months with losses.

It is worth mentioning that this indicator serves as a barometer in the construction sector, and at the discretion of the INEI, the contraction is explained by the lower progress of private works and self-construction.
