Caja Raíz clients in liquidation with joint accounts are included in the third list

The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) has published the third list for the return of deposits to more than 3,805 clients of the Rural Savings and Credit Fund Raíz (CRAC Raíz) in Liquidation. This list includes individuals who own joint deposits. It should be remembered that, on August 10, the SBS submitted said fund to the intervention regime for financial insolvency.

So far, with the first three lists, S/696 million have been returned, which represents 97.2% of the total amount of deposits covered by the Deposit Insurance Fund (S/716 million). This has benefited 37,173 depositors, equivalent to 63.1% of the total (58,897 depositors).

Depositors of the CRAC Raíz en Liquidación can consult the lists through the institutional portal of the SBS.

It is important to point out that the SBS reminds clients (both natural and legal persons) who have loans or other obligations with the CRAC Raíz en Liquidación that they must continue making their payments according to the agreed schedule. Otherwise, your credit history could be affected.

How to carry out the procedure for the return of the amounts?

Depositors who are on the third list, as well as those on the first and second list who have not yet completed the process, You can go to the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) agencies and present only your DNI or your immigration card. It is important to remember that this return does not entail any commission or additional cost, and it is not necessary to hire the services of processors.
