Ministry of Energy and Mines pronounces on the recent social conflicts in the country

This Sunday, December 5, the Ministry of Energy and Mines launched a communicated with five provisions who are looking for the resolution of social conflicts in the country. Likewise, these conclusions are the product of the dialogue between Minem and the Government.

1. According to him Ministry of Energy and Mines, the current Government of Pedro Castillo is carrying out an articulated and sustained work to be able to maintain a sincere and frank dialogue where the rights of the communities involved are respected. Everything always within the legal framework.
2. Eduardo González Toro, Minister of Energy and Mines, led work groups in the regions of Áncash, Loreto, Moquegua, Cusco and Apurímac. These trips were given in order to be able to maintain dialogues between the communities and the companies.
3. According the Minem, the promotion of private investment is a policy of the ministry as long as it is within the integral and sustainable development approach, maintaining a harmonious relationship with the towns and communities adjacent to the developed projects.
4. The Ministry of Energy and Mines indicates that you trust the perseverance in dialogue, the multisectoral work of all sectors of the Government and the good disposition of both parties, will allow to arrive at sustainable solutions over time.
5. The Minem reaffirms that with clear rules and subject to the current legal regulatory framework, with regard to extractive activities, they will be able to build a social climate favorable to communities and future investments.
