The Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, announced that the budget for the Impulso MyPerú guarantee program will go from S/3,000 to S/4,000 million. In July, it had already been expanded from S/2,000 to S/3,000 million.
During the issuance of his Economic Outlook, the head of the MEF specified that Impulso MyPerú currently benefits more than 211,000 mypes with loans at average rates of 13%.
“We have officially decided to expand the Impulso MyPerú program from S/3,000 to S/4,000 million, a program that is financing the reactivation in Puno and the areas affected by the different shocks,” he stressed.
In this sense, Contreras Miranda explained that 28% of the credits placed by Impulso MyPerú are going to Puno, while 17% go to Lima and 8% to Piura, among other regions.
“57% of Impulso MyPerú is oriented both to the acquisition of fixed assets and to working capital. The other 43% is for debt consolidation,” the minister sent.
The Impulso MyPerú program was created to support the process of economic recovery and growth of mypes, promote financial inclusion and promote timely payment in said system. The payment term of the eligible credit must be equal to or greater than 12 months and up to a maximum of 60 months, including the grace period granted in which only interest is paid, which cannot be less than 6 months nor more than 12 months.
