Contigo Program: how do I know if I am a beneficiary of the S/300 pension?

From 2015 to the present, the Contigo Program of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) has been providing a non-contributory pension of S/300 in favor of people with severe disabilities who are in a situation of poverty. With You Program: what are the requirements to join?

If you have a severe disability and you are in a situation of poverty or extreme poverty, the Contigo program grants you a non-contributory pension of S/300 every two months. To access it, you must meet these requirements, according to the information contained in the web portal of this State program:

  • Have a medical certificate of severe disability issued by the establishments of the Ministry of Health.
  • Not receive an income or pension that comes from the State or the private sector, including the economic benefits provided by EsSalud.
  • Being in a situation of poverty, according to the Household Targeting System (Sisfoh) and completing the PC 1000 format that must be presented at the Municipal Office for Attention to Persons with Disabilities (Omaped) of the district or the citizen attention module , located at the headquarters of the Midis.

Contigo Program: how to access the S/300 pension?

To request affiliation to the Contigo Program in favor of people with severe disabilities, you must follow these steps:

  • Complete the PC 1000 form together with a simple copy of the certificate. You must present them at the Municipal Office for Attention to Persons with Disabilities (Omaped) of your district or the citizen attention module, located at the Midis headquarters. You can also submit your documents through the Digital Reporting Table.
  • After meeting the requirements, you will receive an email with a file number so that you can follow up on the process and, within a period of 30 business days, you will be notified of the results of your evaluation to join the Juntos program.
  • To collect the S/300 non-contributory pension, you can go to any Banco de la Nación agency, authorized agents or MultiRed ATMs within two weeks of confirming the payment.
  • Beneficiaries or their caregivers only have to present their ID and debit card.
  • Users should not make any payment if they receive the support of a third party during the collection of the non-contributory pension.

Contigo Program: which are the regions with the most beneficiaries?

According to the Executive Director of the Contigo Program, Orfelina Arpasi, in statements to the press, the number of affiliated people increased from more than 77,000 beneficiaries to 106,628. Of this total number, the regions with the most users are Cajamarca with 13,825, Lima with 12,425, Piura with 10,011, Huánuco with 7,318, among others.

Likewise, this program, which completed 8 years of operation, has installed two regional offices in La Libertad and Lima to serve more than 5,000 and 10,000 users, respectively. Finally, Orfelina Arpasi highlighted the campaign ‘And you already collected?’, which has allowed the timely collection of the pension, and the pay carts that reached more than 15 regions.
