Economic Commission aims at the return of contributions and pension reform

This Monday, December 6, the simplification of procedures for those seeking to access proportional pressure will be discussed, as well as evaluating the viability of granting new recognition bonuses and proportional pensions to citizens with less than 10 years of contribution, according to the congresswoman Silvia Monteza, who chairs the Economic Commission of Congress.

Likewise, they specify from said working group that two opinions will be drawn up that would be the best solutions for a possible return of contributions and a future reform of the general pension system.

These announcements come after the technical table called the Roadmap towards a comprehensive reform of the pension system, where the unions of contributors and ex-contributors of the Pension Fund Administrators (AFP) and the Office of Social Security Normalization (ONP) of facing a return of contributions.

Also, officials from important institutions such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) and the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) participated; and international experts such as Carlos Noriega (Mexico), Rodrigo Acuña (Chile), Kirsis Jáquez (Dominican Republic), Diego Valero (Spain) and Javier Olivera (Peru).
