He Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) published the list of new beneficiary companies of the Internationalization Support Program (PAI), an initiative that will co-finance the internationalization projects of exporting or potential exporting MSMEs that were selected and met the application requirements.
In total there are 33 winning projects from eight regions of the country: Lima (19), Cajamarca (6), Junín (2), San Martín (2), Amazonas (1), Arequipa (1), La Libertad (1) and Pasco (1).
Of these, 6 participated in the contest under the modality of “Export Entrepreneurship” and 27 did so under the modality “Export Empowerment”.
The first was assigned to companies or individuals with a business that still do not have export experience, but have a product with high export potential; the second was aimed at companies that are not regular exporters and seek to better meet international demand.
Minister Juan Carlos Mathews said that the PAI is a program that has already allowed us to benefit more than 300 exporting companies and potential exporters, who were able to carry out their internationalization projects, “reaching new markets or consolidating in regular markets.”
We are aware that financing is a key point for exporting, and for this reason we make programs like this available. We want the development of trade to translate into opportunities and generation of decentralized employment”, he highlighted.
